Hilltop Summer Day Camp is offered Monday through Friday for 11 weeks during the summer. We offer (3) one-week mini camp sessions the last 2 weeks of June, and the last week in August. There are two (2) four-week camp sessions. Sessions are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and extended hours will be offered from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with additional hours as early as 6:30 a.m. and as late as 6:00 p.m. for an additional charge. Children must supply their own lunch. Snack will be provided by Hilltop. Campers from ages 2 ½ & toilet trained to 12 years are accepted into the program..
Our staff consists of college students who are majoring in Early Childhood or Elementary Education and certified teachers. Our pools are supervised by certified lifeguards and WSI instructors.
Hilltop has an in-ground 20’ by 40’ heated pool. We have WSI (Water Safety Instructors) and certified lifeguards on staff. All campers have the opportunity to swim daily in the afternoons. Children who sign up for swimming lessons have lessons before recreational swim time. Parents will be notified of days and times for lessons, if you would like to stop by to observe. Observation areas for pool times are provided in the pool room behind the pool.
Swimming and diving instruction is available for campers ages 2 ½ & toilet trained to 12 years old. Hilltop provides floatation devices, so please save yours for home. If you would like to purchase the type of swim belts we use for lessons, we have extras for sale. Swimming lessons are a half-hour long, in small groups with a WSI instructor and a certified lifeguard. If you have any questions about our swim program, visit our Swim Lessons page. Special Camp Programs: Each summer, we plan special activities throughout each session for our campers. In the past, we have had musicians, pony rides, puppet shows, magic clowns, field events and activities to be announced. Please post your child’s camp letter on the refrigerator so you will know what is scheduled. If you have any special ideas or suggestions for programs, please call us and let us know. We welcome new ideas and guests to our programs.
****Please note that during our summer program Hilltop campers have the opportunity to attend field trips. There are often other camp groups at the event’s we attend. Wearing Hilltop camp shirts or a yellow shirt will help our staff to keep our campers together. Hilltop T-shirts can be purchased in our office.
